All the information given on their website was accurate and the comunication with the staff is very quick and precise. The staff from the course are super helpfull and give good recomendations about everything you are interested to do in Tokyo. The japanese lessons are extremely good, in no time you will find yourself reading Katakana and Hiragana and babbling some basic japanese. Really a life changing experience. I participated in the Summer Course of 2019 with Study trip and it was really fun and was an amazing, most memorable experience! I had a blast and didn't want to leave, I wished that the trip could've been longer and wished that I had more time to do other things... the staff are all very professional and friendly and helped as much as they can and always responded to any questions and messages. Went over the Summer Course of 2019 and had one of the most memorable and enjoyable times of my life so far! Jose was an amazing guide around Tokyo and the classes at Akamonkai were VERY intensive, but also very enjoyable. I was on the gold plan and if you DON’T get the gold plan you’re really missing out on a LOT of fun activities! I’d gladly do it again in a heartbeat! The staff were very helpful, and cooperative. Every question I had was swiftly answered, and when I was having trouble with my sleeping arrangements it was promptly taken care of in an organized manner. I think one of the best parts about the staff is how knowledgeable they are of the tokyo area, many time I was able to ask about recommendations and not be let down. The events they have lined up for the trip were fun, memorable, and organized. At all times I felt like I knew what was going on and I was never afraid I would get lost. I had such an excellent time. I went on the cultural StudyTrip to Tokyo. The activities were amazing fun, I learnt so much, the course leaders were friendly, supportive and just all round wonderful. The lessons I took were challenging in a good way. Everyone who came on the course was lovely and we have forged some lifelong international friendships. I had so much fun during the Spring course with Studytrip. It's a great experience and you do things that you don't usually do with common trips. You also have the chance to study Japanese at a language school, it's a bit challenging, but you learn so fast. Amazing trip! I spent almost a month on September 2018. Everything was well planned: school, activities and meals. All staff were really nice, friendly and helpful. Communication was on point at all time.The group I was in, we were around 20 people, which was a good size. I wished all people stayed on the same accommodation though, but this is something the students get to decide when booking. Location was nice, always close to Yamanote line.The school we went to was Akamonkai they placed us in different classes considering our level. If you have some knowledge of japanese they place you in a class with long term students which is great. You can get to know people that are staying longer and help you make up your mind if your are interested in it.Finally, balance between classes, activities and free time was perfect.Great choice if you want to experience a different kind of holidays and get to know Tokyo.read more

I had the best experience with gogonihon. The site had everything you needed to know and the application process was easy. I did the 2 week program with morning course (9:30-1) with about 2-3 after class activities per week, plus a saturday trip to Nikko. Everything was well organized. I loved loved loved exploring Tokyo with people who know the city. I get lost very easily so thankful for gogonihon tour guides (shoutout to José) and on off days, googlemap and my classmates. I attended a study trip to Japan during the summer of 2017, and I can honestly say that I could not recommend this service more highly. What began as a means of learning a bit of the Japanese language in the country of Japan quickly became much more: on top of language classes during the week, we also regularly had activities scheduled with our guide that really gave a much more complete experience than I would have otherwise been able to accomplish on a trip to Japan. Besides the alleviation of the language barrier, I was shown places and activities I would have never known to seek out myself. Finally, they were able to set me up with a home-stay family that I felt so perfectly suited to that I am still in contact with them over a year later and still regularly see. In fact, I am still very good friends with several people in Japan that I have visited since my original trip that I would have never met if not for this study trip. Japan is my favorite country to visit, and I would be a fool to not see that this study trip had a huge part to play in my admiration for the country. Between the friendships I made with others on the trip, my host family, local Japanese persons, and even the guides; and the experiences I had – the places we went, the activities we did – I could not imagine a more perfect first impression of the country of Japan. I went during May of 2017, and I absolutely loved it. This was my first trip abroad so I really didn’t know what to expect at first especially since I didn’t know the language that well, but the classes were engaging and the activities were fun as well. Also once you get the hang of it, it’s relatively easy to get around Tokyo during your free time. I took the beginner level course and definitely learn quite a bit during my time in class with pretty much zero knowledge of the language. I’m currently on vacation right now in Tokyo, and was surprised how much I was able to read after pretty much a year out of practice. I went on a trip via GoGoNihon a few years back and it was honestly the best trip I ever went on. Everybody involved were super nice and very helpful, so I never felt lost or unsure even though I was so far from home and all by myself for the first time.read more

December 2018, the start of winter in Japan can be cold, but the hospitality and fun I had in this program kept me warm! Dreamed of going to Japan, but wanted more than to just tour. Go Go Nihon let me study, live with a Japanese family for full emersion, and experience fun activities! For 4 weeks had a great adventure!read more

I went to Japan in the summer of 2016. This was my first trip abroad from Canada. I enjoyed learning the language as the teachers were all very pleasant. I made so many friends from all over different parts of the world who shared similar interests as me! Thanks to go go, they made my journey so amazing that I returned in fall of 2017 to enjoy more Ramen:)Have to mention All the hard work to the guides who brought us all over and tried to keep us from getting lost!read more

I went to Japan as a Go!Go!Nihon student, for 1 month, and it was the best experience/time of my life ever. The staff are super helpful and friendly, you get to meet people from other countries and the group activities/trips are really exciting and unique.When you make friends try to stay connected even more so when you have to leave at the end of your course.Normally trips to other countries leave me feeling satisfied but leaving Japan and going back home made me depressed. I did not want to leave and if I can I will return, hopefully, permanently.read more

A great experience! Well organized and super funny! You can have all the support for any kind of stuff, from the reservation, accomodation, the school and all the activities. I saw a lot of places around the city and did so much things. It was an amazing trip!read more

Outside of that, the experience in Japan was everything I expected and more, I felt very comfortable with the studytrip staff and all my doubts / requirements were resolved quickly. Firstly, if anyone is unsure about going on one of these courses, just do it!I took the Otaku Japan course and it was such an amazing experience. I was a little nervous because it was my first trip to Japan as well as my first time traveling alone, but now I don't know why I was nervous. If you had any questions or concerns all the staff were friendly, helpful and respectful, doing everything they could to make your experience safe and comfortable. There was a good mix of activities as well as plenty of free time to explore the various areas of Tokyo! It's a great course to meet new friends from all over the world, explore a new environment and learn a new language/brush up on it.Lastly, I wanted to leave a special shoutout to Lindsay, Jose and my Otaku family. Thank you all so so much for making this an amazing experience, I will miss you all very much!!!(And if anyone wants a reunion... Let's start planning ;D)read more
