The 3-week, Otaku Japan study trip offers all this for its students and more. With trips to the Ghibli museum and a maid cafe, you’ll have all the opportunities to geek out. There’s no better complement to this than lessons at Yu Language Academy. By the time you’re done you’ll be able to explore even more of the Japanese Otaku world than you knew was there.

Dining with a difference at a themed restaurant

We'll take you for a dining experience with a difference. With lots of themed restaurants to choose from, you'll get a chance to eat themed dishes, enjoy themed menus and decor and sometimes even staff in cosplay.

Break Out of the Escape Room

Work together to solve the puzzles and break out of the Tokyo escape room. You'll get to know your fellow travelers really well.

Maid Cafe & Akihabara

Get treated like royalty at a maid cafe. This weird and wonderful themed restaurant is very kawaii. Explore the crazy culture with some food and games before spending some time in Akihabara or 'Electric Town' is famous for its bright lights and otaku shops and arcades. Electronics, anime, manga and Jpop, there's so much to explore.

International Meetup

Connect with your fellow course mates from all corners of the world in a fun-filled cultural exchange evening. Share drinks, laughter, games, and create lasting friendships!

Discover the history and future of Japanese animation at the Suginami Animation Museum. Are you familiar with Studio Ghibli? The animation studio behind favorites such as Totoro, the Cat Bus, etc. Even if you're not, you can still enjoy this amazing museum dedicated to showcasing the art and techniques of animation. The architecture of the buildings alone will bring out your inner child. On top of that you can enjoy themed sweets in their cafe, a theatre showing short films exclusive to the museum, and a nice souvenir shop for you hardcore fans who want to get memorabilia from your favourite films.

Karaoke

We're sure you've heard of karaoke, but have you experienced Japanese style karaoke? In a private booth for your group, two microphones taking it in turns singing along to your favourite songs. If you're brave enough, why not whip out those Japanese songs you know to impress your new friends?

Learn the way of the samurai with the basic techniques and etiquette before having the chance to draw your own sword and become a samurai!

Pick-Up Service at the Airport

For a fee of 21,000 yen, Studytrip.com can organize a Pick Up service for you from either Narita or Haneda airport. If you would like to take advantage of this option please let us know on your application form. Students must arrive between 9am and 8:30pm. If your flight arrives after 8:30pm we are unfortunately, unable to offer this service.

Drop-Off Service at the Airport

For a fee of 21,000 yen, Studytrip.com can organize a Drop Off service for you to either Narita or Haneda airport. If you would like to take advantage of this option please let us know on your application form. Students must depart between 8am and 9:00pm. If your desired pickup time is outside of this window we are unfortunately, unable to offer this service.
